Manuel Munet aka DJ Manny el baron del mix was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico. He began seeking out his musical roots during his younger years. He was influenced by a diversity of music genres such as salsa, jazz, disco, rock and merengue. That later solidifies Manny's dedication to representing this spectrum of musical styles. After leaving college to follow his music-filled heart, Manny started DJ'ing in club Julianas (Caribe Hilton Hotel) and El Coqui (Cerro Mar Hotel) in Puerto Rico. In 1981 and in 1982, he got a big break at Club Bachelors next to his mentor and best friend DJ Pablo Flores (Remixer of the Latin stars like Shakira, Ricky Martin, Madonna and Gloria Estefan), after that the rest is history. He worked at the best clubs in Puerto Rico wich included Bachelor, El Coqui Nightclub, Club 305, Mykonos and Egipto, and became one of the most respected DJ's in Puerto Rico. In 1987, he moved to West Palm Beach where he became the most requested DJ in Palm Beach County working on clubs like Caribe, Bogies lounge, Elayne's Banquet Hall, Moskow, Splash, Cima, Cocobongo, Monkey Club, Nexus Dorma, Club 10 and Cococabana. He also worked on the first Latin FM radio station in Palm Beach County, WTRU 99.5 FM in Jupiter, FL, during the years 1989 to 1991. Bringing the best Latin music to the Palm Beaches. He also works in the music distribution business as a sales rep for the Caribbean and he was in charge of sales to lots of records stores for the Florida and Puerto Rico area. He works in New York with companies such as Upstairs Records, Watts Music, Nemesis Music, and Satellite Records. Currently, he spins his own edits and remixes of Latin music. He is also a member of iHeartLatino station Mia 92.1 FM MIA MIX Show both the 5:30 mix and the weekend edition from 7-Midnight. Also, he is an official DJ of the Florida base prestige lamezcla.com DJ'S group. When it comes to DJ'ing DJ Manny really knows his business, bringing all the right music to the dance floor at all the right times.
