Closing arguments expected to begin today in the trial of an ex-Hialeah cop accused of kidnapping and beating a homeless man last December. Hialeah Police Detective Joseph Elosegui testifying last week they have no video of the alleged attack, only the statements from victim Jose Ortega-Guiterrez. Ortega-Guiterrez also took the stand admitting he's an alcoholic who often got in fights in the strip mall where he claims he was handcuffed before being taken into the woods and beaten up. Former officer Rafael Otano could face life in prison if convicted. The judge has denied the defense's motion for a mistrial.
