A Coast Guard crew from South Florida is ready to help in the aftermath of Hurricane Idalia.

There are 40 active duty members and 30 reservists stationed at the Coast Guard Lake Worth Inlet station and their commanding officer says they are in 'readiness mode.'

Rick Seymour says the team is preparing to support recovery operations on the state's Gulf coast.

Meanwhile, the Clearwater Coast Guard station has relocated a number of their aircraft to Palm Beach International, so that they were out of harm's way. The four C-130s and five Black Hawk helicopters are parked at the airport until its safe for them to be flown back to the west coast.
