Miami teacher is being rewarded for the way she weaves football into her lessons. Dolphins cheerleaders presented Pinecrest Elementary School's Mary Martinez with two Super Bowl tickets yesterday. One example of how she uses football in her classroom involves one of the quarterbacks she'll be watching in the big game. San Francisco's Brock Purdy is known as Mr. Irrelevant because he was taken with the last pick of the 2022 NFL draft, and Martinez used that to break down the word 'irrelevant' for her students.
She'll be rooting for Purdy and the 49ers when they play the Kansas City Chiefs in Las Vegas February 11th.
Martinez also says she'll be there to represent all teachers.
