A meeting today between Martin County and the City of Stuart could hash out a dispute over a Brightline station to be built on the Treasure Coast.

The city and county had an agreement on paying for the train station but then in October city leaders voted to rescind that agreement.

The county has decided to move forward with building a station in Stuart, but on County-owned land. At today's meeting will be representatives from Martin County, the administrator, attorney and District 4 Commissioner Sarah Heard as well as Stuart's city manager, the city attorney and the vice mayor.

The county applied in January for a $30 million grant through the Federal Railroad Administration.
