One Palm Beach County city is at odds with the county over road extension plans.
Palm Beach Gardens city leaders are fine with extending Seminole Pratt Whitney Road on the west end, but they don't want the county to connect it with Avenir Drive.
"The problem with that is the traffic would be insane."
The road is a major artery running through the new and upcoming community of Avenir, which will have more than 3,900 homes, a shopping complex and a charter school.
Resident and HOA board member Hal Staniloff tells CBS 12 News that it would also present safety concerns, with school buses dropping kids off daily.
The City Council meets tonight at 6 p.m. and is expected to discuss the issue.
