The 2025 National Sheriffs' Association annual conference being held at the Broward Convention Center in Ft. Lauderdale today through Thursday. Spokesman Pat Royal says hundreds of sheriffs from across the country are brainstorming ideas on how to best implement new immigration enforcement policies. There are seminars covering wide range of topics like recruitment and officer wellness. There's also a tradeshow displaying equipment for prisoner transport and courtroom security.
