Smoke Blanketing South Florida From Wildfires In The Everglades

If the smoke from the fires is getting in your eyes, you're not alone. Cleveland Clinic Pulmonologist Dr. Samuel Gurevich says the tiny particles of dust can irritate your nose, throat and lungs so limit your outdoor exposure as much as possible. Exposure can lead to a sore throat, sinus headache, coughing and tightness in the chest. If you suffer from asthma or COPD, make sure you have an inhaler on you and consider wearing a mask because the air pollution can trigger symptoms to worsen.
