What a nightmare for folks this morning on I-95...and this mess actually started last night in West Park in Broward. A woman falling victim to an armed carjacking in the 2700 block of South State Road 7.
That suspect was tracked down this morning, Gerdy St. Louis with the Broward Sheriff's Office says police followed him into Miami-Dade, where he crashed and has been barricaded in the car on the off-ramp to Miami Gardens Drive. Miami-Dade Police negotiators and their SRT (special response team) are on site. The interstate southbound is shut down from Ives Dairy Road with the backup building into Broward county.
