Pinellas County, FL - Pinellas County teacher Timothy "Brandt" Robinson has announced his Democratic campaign for Florida's 13th Congressional District in 2026.
Robinson, a longtime Pinellas County history teacher, has entered the Democratic primary for Florida's 13th Congressional District.
Robinson, 56, announced his candidacy in a Facebook video recorded during a trip to Alabama, stating that years of encouragement from friends and colleagues contributed to his decision to run.
Robinson has taught in Pinellas County schools since 1998 and is currently a teacher at Pinellas High Innovation.
He became more publicly visible during the COVID-19 period through online commentary that included education-related discussions.
In 2022, he helped organize a demonstration during a national event held in Tampa.
In 2023, Robinson received criticism from two Pinellas County School Board members regarding his public statements.
